Opuntia (cactus) একপ্রকার কাঁটাযুক্ত গাছ.
Opuntia is a genus in the cactus family. The temperature in Kuwait during summer is above 40 c, the highest of any Middle Eastern country. In middle east, summer means very hot but what I observed is that this plant’s growth is very well in hot climate. What we need to give is more water. Morning and evening, twice I water the plants and it worked well. Usually, they are very brittle, the young stems readily break off when the barbed spines stick to clothing or animal fur. The barbed spines can remain embedded in the skin, causing discomfort and sometimes injury. This plants is edible and very good for diabetic. It is too easy to grow in Kuwait, no need to extra care. vegetative Propagation also very easy. Just keep children and clothes away from it.
These pictures are from my balcony garden. For three years, it has been growing but there is no bloom. Whenever new buds come, I always think that maybe this time I will see bloom. But no, there is no sign of blooming. Stil I am waiting.
ফণী, ফণীমনসা পরিবারের একটি মহাজাতি . গ্রীষ্মের সময় কুয়েতে তাপমাত্রা ৪০সি ,যে কোনো মিডিল ইস্টার্ন দেশের সর্বোচ্চ উপরে. মিডিল ইস্টে, গ্রীষ্ম কাল মানে খুব গরম কিন্তু আমি দেখেছি এই উদ্ভিদ এর ফুল গরম জলবায়ুতে খুব ভাল হয়. এই গরমে যা করতে হয় তা হলে আনেক পানি দিতে হয়। সকালে ও সন্ধ্যায় দু ‘বার আমি পানি দিতে থাকি এবং আামি দেখেছি এটি ভাল কাজ হয়। এই গাছে ছোট ছোট চুলের মত পাতলা কাটা থাকে. এই কাটা যদি একবার চামড়ায় ঢুকে তা হলে অস্বস্তি এবং কখনও কখনও ক্ষতি হতে পারে. সাধারণত, এই গাছের কচি কান্ড, খুব ভঙ্গুর প্রকৄতির, নির্দ্ধিধায় গাছ হতে বিছিন্ন হয়ে যায় যদি কোন কাপড়ে বা পশুর চামড়াতে লাগে. এই উদ্ভিদ খাওয়া যায় এবং ডায়াবেটিক এর জন্য খুব ভাল. এটা কুয়েত প্রসারণ খুব সহজ অতিরিক্ত যত্ন করার কোন প্রয়োজন নেই. এছাড়াও অঙ্গজ প্রজননে খুব সহজ. শুধু শিশুদের কে এবং কাপড় এটা থেকে দূরে রাখা দরকার.
এই ছবি গুলো আমার বারান্দার বাগান থেকে নেওয়া. তিন বছর ধরে এটি ক্রমবর্ধমান করা হয়েছে কিন্তু কোন ফুল হয় না. যখনই নতুন কুঁড়ি আসে আমি সবসময় মনে করি হয়ত এই সময় আমি ফুল দেখতে পাবো. কিন্তু না, প্রস্ফুটিতের কোন চিহ্ন নেই. এখনও আমি অপেক্ষা করছি.
